Another Two Asteroids On A Collision Course With Earth

Besides the already known Apophis threat to Earth, there are still two large asteroids, the orbit of which, presumably, would have to be amended to avoid collision.

This was stated by the president of Missile-Space Company “RSC Energia”, Vitaly Alexandrovich Lopota. To counter the threat, we need a missile-carrier lifting capacity of about 70 tons, which will put into the orbit of the asteroid a spacecraft capable of intercepting and altering the trajectory of movement, said Lopota. According to him, if necessary they will use space nuclear power tractors or a solar engine, which will be able to carry up to the asteroid one thermonuclear missile.

If you ask me maybe this is a fact, or a way to make their quarterly reports look more charming.
